I love christmas calendars! As a grownup with all the grownup problems, it might be a little difficult to find the christmas spirit. In it's worst, christmas can be a time of stress, to-do-lists, rush and hustle. Too much to do, too many new toys, too many sweets and treats, too many things to buy. What I wish for christmas? Less of all that and more relaxing, more time with the family, laughing, happines, hope and little bit of magic. And that's what this years calendar is all about. It's a journey to christmas for the whole family, a way to build up christmas piece by piece, finding the christmas spirit together.
So, what was in our calendar today? A trip to the forest, some gathering and building, alot of exitement and joy. No money spent.
In the calendar my daughter found a letter with instructions to build an elf terrarium.
We went to the forest to gather supplys. Little brother was with us of course, in my back.
Sticks and stones from the forest, moss, a baby spruce and some houseleek from our garden, pinecones from my craft stash and christmas elves that I have made years ago...
...and we have an elf terrarium!
Let the journey begin!
